PEITF Annual Convention 2025 - "SHIFT - VIRAGE"
November 6th and 7th 2024 ~ Prince Edward Island Convention Centre, Charlottetown
On November 6th and 7th 2025 The PEI Gambling Support Unit had the pleasure of engaging with 1700+ Island teachers and administrators at our Community Engagement and Awareness booth set up at The PEITF Annual Convention . It was an amazing opportunity to hear from teachers on some gambling and gaming related insights they may have from their experiences, as well as to make them aware of the supports available to all Islanders, both young and old alike.
This was also a great opportunity to provide teachers and administrators with information about our Youth Gaming and Gambling Specialist role which provides an engagement pathway for important early education directly in classrooms across The Island. Presentations on topics of Gambling and Gaming Safety and the associated risks involved, are being delivered with great success in grade 5 and 6 classrooms since last year, and now the team is also visiting Grade 7-9 classrooms and delivering tailored presentations for that age group as well.
