The Governor's Plate at Red Shores Summerside

On July 18th 2025 The PEI Gambling Support Unit (GSU) teamed up with the The ALC Playwise Team for a very successful on-site Community Engagement and Education evening at The Governor's Plate horse races held at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino Summerside.

Guests and patrons were greeted on the race tarmac of Red Shores Summerside Racetrack and Casino and invited to have a chat, and explore some of our information and resources for Healthy Play. The GSU also provided direction on Supports available in PEI such as The 24/7 PEI Gambling Support Phone Line #1-855-255-4255 and our first-in-class website www.PEIGamblingSupport.com.

The ALC PlayWise Team also provided information and resources on their Limit Setting Tools and many other helpful initiatives for Healthy Play. They also engaged guests with an interactive and educational coin flip game which helps to inform guests about the gambling concepts of Odds and Probability, as well as Risk, found in all games of chance.
