March is recognized as Gambling Harm Awareness Month, an annual initiative to raise public awareness about the potential harm from gambling through prevention, treatment, referral and recovery services.
The PEI Department of Health and Wellness, Provincial Responsible Gambling Support Unit organized and executed several excellent public awareness engagement events in March of 2025 to recognize this important initiative.
A GAMBLING HARM AWARENESS EDUCATION DAY was held for community partners and ethnocultural organizations on Tuesday March 4th 2025 at The Rodd Charlottetown, Georgian Ballroom. This event created an opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships, build new relationships and explore collaborative efforts in 2025 to support harm prevention and education across diverse communities.
