Connecting Communities at Centennial Park
On August 24th 2025 the PEI Gambling Support Unit attended The DiverseCity Festival in Souris held at the Centennial Park. The DiverseCity Festival was created in 2007 to celebrate diversity, Canadian Multiculturalism, to connect newcomers with established Islanders and to support settlement, inclusion, anti-racism, and retention.
This year's Festival provided a great occasion for the Unit to engage with Islanders young and old, and provide education around Gambling and Gaming Harm, as well as Healthy Play strategies with a diverse population of communities.
